Hey Mom, Family and Friends!
So this past week has been a total gong show! Wow so last P-Day we went to Lethbridge to do our monthly shopping, and while shopping we ended up in the mall! Well we went to this really cool game store that has just about everything you could imagine! So Elder Walker ended up buying "Exploding Kittens" because I said that it was a really fun game (Remember I got it for Christopher just before I left). After we went to Lethbridge we got haircuts in Raymond from this lady that has a hair studio so I knew that I would get a safe haircut! Well she did a really good job! I'm am really happy about it! Lol but anyway, we were going to play the game we bought with the sisters, but Sister Z got the stomach flu so she had been up all night throwing up.. yeah not a very fun way to spend your P-day! So thus ended our one day a week that we get to have a little free time! Oh and remember from last week how I said that we have been having tacos like non stop? Well we went to dinner on Wednesday and they were like "Ok, tonight for dinner its TACO SOUP" LOL
Thursday is when everyone got their phones! Wait.. not everyone.. not me..haha not that I really cared though! It has been kind of nice not having a phone to worry about, but it will be super nice when I do get it! So they all set them up while I sat there kind of awkwardly.. yeah it was kinda awkward.. hahaha!
Friday we had interviews.. well we were supposed to have interviews at least! We were told in a text from our zone leaders that interviews are going to be in Raymond. We thought that that was weird because that are always here in Magrath! Well so we drive out to Raymond and President isn't there.. we hop between the three chapels there and he was at none of them. It was at this time that we decided that we should call him to see where he is! Well unknown to us, the sim card in our brick flip phone became deactivated because Elder Walker had a new sim in his smartphone.. well so we had no way to get a hold of President.. yeah what a crappy situation! So we prayed and got this feeling that we should go to this members house that we had met once before at a DTM, she let us use her phone and we got a hold of president finally! He had been waiting in Magrath that whole time! So we are going to do our interviews with him after zone conference on Thursday! What a gong show!
Saturday was pretty boring, we were just moving our contacts over from the flip phone to the new smartphones! Yay what a productive day! Haha but what's really fun is what we did Sunday! Elder Walker and I had been asked to talk in sacrament meeting! You know I don't like talking in front of crowds! Well, so I talked on the First Vision and how the principals of prayer and trust in the lord still very much apply to us today. It actually didn't go too bad but I still don't like speaking in church. Oh and guess what time people out here have dinner on Sunday? We had dinner at 2:30!!?!? Why would you do that?? But then we went to mission prep class that night which was really cool. They asked us to teach at the end of the month so that should be pretty cool!
Monday was such nice weather that we gave our car a rest and went walking! It was like 6C and that felt like heaven! I never thought I would say that! So we walked and got quite a few things done, talked to some people that we needed to visit with. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this but we are moving! Yay! This ancient house that we are in.. well we won't be there for long! We plan on moving this Friday so that should be fun! We are moving to this families apartment suite in their basement, we went and looked at it and it is so nice! They just repainted and everything! I can't wait to show you guys! Hahah!
Glad to hear that you guys are doing pretty good for the most part! That ear piercing sound so painful mom..! Tell Arlene that I am thinking about her!
