Fun week!!

Hey Mom and family!

So since I emailed last Tuesday quite a few things happened! So on Wednesday night we got a text from President Miles telling Elder Lee to give him a call. We both freaked out because we knew that that night would be training calls! So he called him and sure enough he's training a greenie straight from the good ol' MTC! He's kinda scared I guess but I would be so excited! So pretty much that means that I am leaving Magrath.. It's honestly so sad thinking about leaving here. I love it here so much and the people are so awesome! It's gonna be hard to leave but I know that my next area will be just as great!..

On Thursday we watched movies with the older people in the new home, it's so awesome! Their movie room is literally like a theater! Surround sound and everything! I mean most of them can't really hear all too great, so they need that surround sound! Lol it shakes the building!

On Friday Elder Lee and Hansen drove up to Calgary for the new trainers meeting, so that meant that I went on a little mini exchange with Elder Moore our District Leader. It was a lot of fun! It was both of our last Friday so we jumped between Magrath and Raymond all day to do the things that we wanted to do. Then Elder Lee got distracted in Calgary so he spent more time there than he should have! So I had to call our dinner and move it back, and even then we were still 15 minutes late! Lol I love him but he gets distracted so easily! Haha then on Saturday since it was a long weekend and nobody was home, we resorted to going to the church and finished putting our paper area book into the electronics! It took forever but we finally got it done!

Sunday was a straight gong show like it always is. Church from 9 to 4 really doesn't get any better.. Lol that's just how it is I guess! Maybe I'll get to go to somewhere where I wouldn't cover a whole stake! Lol but it's all good because the Stringams fed us dinner. We had pierogis! Those are so good! Lol then I took Elder Lee to Raymond to go on exchanges, so Hansen came to Magrath with me. Monday we had our last district meeting.. These guys are so awesome I'm gonna miss them! But so Hansen and I tracted a lot of the day! We talked to a lot of members and found a really solid potential investigator! Lee will follow up with that so it should be awesome! We then had a great dinner with the Bartons.. Chicken nuggets and ice cream and cookies! That's what I'm talking about! Then I picked up Lee from Raymond and made some plans for P-Day!

Today for pday we fished early with the elders and sisters so that was fun! We then went to lethbridge to get our windshield replaced and we went to the mall and met up with some missionaries there. We did quite a bit of shopping since it was my last day here.

Pictures: all 14 missionaries at the baptism, Sister Prince and Ziegner and I, and some pictures of our district having fun! Also there was a Hawaiian day at the senior home so they had us dress up!

Anyway I love hearing from you all and hope you all are doing great! Love you guys!

Almost 5 Months out!

Hello Mom and Family!

So last Tuesday we had a zone P-Day activity in Cardston where everyone just brought food and we ate and played games.

Wednesday we read to the senior people. But then we went to go play pool with the senior people at the other retirement place which was fun. It's a brand new building and it's so great because they have unlimited chocolate milk there! I'm in heaven every time we go there! We also went exploring out in Welling and we found this super cool looking backgrounds for some pictures so of course I had to stop and take some pictures! And then we had dinner with these older people and it was the fastest dinner I have ever had! We were in and out in about 45 minutes!

Thursday we did a lot of area book stuff, and then we had to do to the Diamond Willow to share a church movie with them. And once again, the free unlimited chocolate milk is going to be the death of me! We also went around making last minute preparations for the Father's and sons camp that we were going on.

Friday was great because we had our usual bingo, bowling, and pool that I love! But the really fun part was going out to the father and son campout! We got fed so good! Steak, burgers, brisket, smokies, salad, you name it! And everything was so good! We really got to interact with the youth a lot which was cool because we showed them that we are still pretty much the same as them, just with a name tag, so that was really cool to connect with them! We didn't stay overnight but we drove home!

Saturday we got picked up by the stake president at 6am to drive out to the camp out. We got there and helped set up breakfast and stuff, and then we wandered around to talk to people. We actually met a lot of inactive and non members there who we got to meet and get to know! Otherwise they probably wouldn't talk to us. Anyway after breakfast we went around and did the activities that they had planned.. Such as golf (I was pretty decent at that), axes throwing, shotgun shooting which we couldn't do! Haha but it was a good day. We came home at like 2 and I showered and then had a nice nap until our dinner.

Sunday was mother's day! It was so great to be able to talk to you guys and to see my new nephew Kaden! It sucks that the next time I get to do that is on Christmas.. But just think that I only have 2 more calls and then I am home! After the call we had dinner with the Stringams and the weirdest thing happened.. So I was eating this fabulous meal of burgers and steak and all of a sudden I got the hiccups.. Like bad! I sat in their bathroom for over an hour just hiccuping! So finally I told Elder Lee that we should go and the Stringams were so worried about me! Lol so we came home and I decided to take a shower because I thought it would help.. Well once the hot water hit my stomach, I wrenched and threw up hard-core in the bath tub.. Well that stopped my hiccups! Geez I never wanted to see Steak like that. Haha but I'm all good now, still not really sure why that happened but whatever!

So Monday we had district meeting in Raymond so that was fun. Then we had our usual Subway and then we took the elders to get Elder Hansen a fishing license at a super sketch little tire repair shop. Then we came back to Magrath and decided to use bikes because it was like 76 degrees outside. So we stopped by some peoples houses and then we ended up at the Stringams house to tell them what happened to me last night! They felt so bad! But it wasn't their fault.

Today for P-Day we went fishing again as usual! I caught another pike so that was cool! Then we headed to the golf course to drive a few balls! I am actually pretty decent considering I was using right handed clubs not the left handed one that I need! Lol then we had some lunch and now I am writing! Haha!

It was so good to be able to see you guys on Mothers Day! That was definitely cool being able to see Kaden for the first time!  I love seeing all the pictures and such! Anyway, I hear you all are doing good so thats good I guess.. Lol keep doing good and its my 5 month mark this Sunday! Whoo!!! Time is honestly going by so fast! Before you know it, it will be Christmas and we will Skype again! Love you all and love hearing from you all! I'm sorry I cant reply to everyone, but I am trying to do my best! Lots of love!

Hello everyone!

What a gong show of a week it has been! Oh geez.. The definition of a Missionary should be gong show! Wow so I don't know really how to explain it, but this past week and a half has been so weird. So on Tuesday after I wrote, apparently we had a dinner scheduled with the Bartons, and I totally skipped it! I didn't mean to and felt so bad.... I missed an awesome meal of chicken and waffles with an awesome family! Ugh but then we started exchanges, Elder Lee went to Raymond and Elder Moore (the district leader) came to Magrath with me.

Wednesday was just really busy. After our studies and such, we took an hour and went through my area book and talked about potentials and such. Then we started to visit some referrals that we got from 7th ward and that my friends was a gong show! We visited with this older lady named Margaret and she's 96, partially deaf, and pretty much blind. And you know me, I don't talk very loud! But she kept talking about her family and how she's the oldest (she reminded us that she's 96...) so finally we share a quick message then I ask if I could leave with a prayer. So she stands up and tells us to get in a circle.. Then she holds our hands and I said the prayer.. Definitely one of my more different prayers! Oh geez the life of a missionary is fun sometimes! Then we actually did some tracting which I actually really like! You never know whats behind the door... Then we had dinner out in Welling with our Ward mission leader and his wife. Everyone in Welling now knows about my strong dislike of mayo and vegetables, so they all harass me for it. But it's good because they don't expect me to eat any of the gross vegetables! Ah then we re exchanged companions. Thus ended our night!

Thursday we may or may not have slept in a little bit.. Tracting just kinda drained me I guess. But we got up and vacuumed out our car which hasn't been vacuumed since before I got here.. Yeah it's been bugging me! But it's super clean now and then we took it to a car wash and the employee paid for our wash! Pretty nice people around here. Then we went to Sister Bartons to pick up some cookies and such that she had made, and took them down the street to the post office where we set up a table and gave out the cookies! We got meet a lot of people which was really fun. But it was really a gong show.. I use that phrase a lot now.. Canadians love that phrase apparently! Oh another one that I have picked up is "Just give er'"! I love that one! We use that if we are debating on whether or not to knock a door, we just say "Let's just give er'" and we do it! It's so weird but I love it! Oh then the strange part, during our little operation outside of the post office some random guy comes up to us and asks us for a blessing.. I had no idea who he was but I told him yes of course. We planned to meet at 6 that night to do it. I wasn't sure why we were giving one.. He was saying that he was going through menopause and that the guys at his work just don't understand.. Needless to say, I passed that blessing off to Elder Lee! I'm awful I know!! Strangest week of my life though! But we ended the night good with the Dahl family. They fed us nachos and made us laugh a lot! The daughter Emma is almost 18 and she is exactly like Kelsey our cousin! It's so funny though! Shes going to BYU in the fall so I told her she should meet up with Kelsey sometime! Lol

Friday we woke up and had to drive very out to Raymond for zone conference. It was actually a really good conference. We talked about how we as missionaries can gain revelation not only for ourselves, but also for our areas. President had us each individually find a room in the church and ask for help in our areas and to write down the thoughts and feelings that come to mind. It's really cool, I now know exactly what needs to happen here in Magrath! Then we talked about baptisms and such but President also introduced to us the new mission president and his wife! Not in person but they sent a letter that they read to us. They sound like awesome people and I can't wait to meet them! Then we had an hour long testimony meeting. I wish our investigators and members could be there to listen to all of those missionaries testimonies! What amazing people I get to serve with!

Saturday we volunteered to do the highway cleanup project in Del Bonita. It was actually pretty cool, nothing but beer bottles and cans to pick up though.. Makes me think of how many people around here drive drunk.. Huh. Then we came home and showered to then have interviews with President! I always love interviews because it's pretty much the only time I see President and Sister Miles. It's going to be sad to see them go in June! Then I took a nap and then we had an appointment with a member that went pretty great. Then Elder Lee changed into his workout stuff and we went to the Bartons and he played soccer with Quinn (I stayed inside.. Lol) then they let us have dinner with them! And after, we went tracting! It's so hard in this town because everyone wants you to be in their house for like an hour and we love the people but we need to work too.. So we only contacted like 2 families! But it's good, I really like it!

Sunday I woke up with a really bad sore throat and headache and Elder Lee had a headache and slight sore throat! So we made it to Sacrament at 9 and that's all we could do. We ended up coming home and taking pills. Then we slept most of the day!

Monday we had district meeting in Raymond and honestly it's so funny! Sister Prince is so funny and super sarcastic it's great! Then we had lunch at subway. Then we put a bunch of stuff into our area book. Then we spent the rest of the day looking for fishing poles to use for P day! Needless to say we found 4 fishing poles courtesy of the Stringhams and the Bartons! Then we had this zone video chat and that was a freaking gong show! Nobody knew what was going on and it kept freezing.. Haha it was so funny though!

Today (Tuesday) Is P-Day! We woke up at 4am to drive out to Raymond to go fishing! Yeah honestly it was a lot of fun to fish in the dark before the sun rose but definitely one of the dumbest things I've done! Didn't catch anything... But now we are going to Cardston today for Zone P-Day potluck thing.. should be fun.

Hope everyone are doing well there, my love to everyone!

May 1, 2018

Hello Mom and family!

So last Tuesday was zone P-Day which was kinda fun. We played pickleball and volleyball. Dinner was really good.. Some hamburgers! We seem to never get those here. Wednesday we had a South stake correlation meeting at one of our high councilors houses which was a really nice house!

Thursday we watched some church history movies with the older people because they really like them. The movies are like 20 years old but they keep asking if they are new because they have such "amazing" graphics! Lol then we went to Mama Yo and Cookie man's house because they said they had something for me. Well turns out they bought this book for me written by President Hinkley and it's really good! It's called "Truth Restored and Gospel Principles" its really good actually.. I'm halfway done with it already!  Was 70 here today, broke out the short sleeved shirt :)

Friday we transferred a lot of our area book to the electronics! We had our usual bingo, bowling, and pool at the older peoples homes. Then we had what is called a "Cottage Dinner" at one of our ward mission leaders house. Basically he invites recent converts and less active members to have dinner all together with the missionaries. Then we get to know them and share a lesson. And after we played board games and such with them all... it was fun. Our mission leaders house is massive.. Literally has 2 basements!! So it's a total of 4 floors!  Saturday was a service day for us! We woke up and helped with a food drive, then we drove to pick up the Raymond Elders to help us move the seniors out of their old place to the new one that just opened! So that took most of the day, then before dinner I came home and took a nap.. It was well needed!

Sunday was a total gong show! I could barely keep my eyes open and Elder Lee was dozing off.. But then we came back home at like 3 then took a nap until 5 when we had dinner with the Bartons!

Monday we didn't have district meeting because we have zone conference on Friday!! And interviews on Saturday! Should be fun! But we just had a lesson with a family in our area that is super cool! They are so into hockey down here its crazy. Like this kid is 5 and he is so good at playing hockey! But then we also set up an appointment with a family here who promised us nachos so we are going back on Thursday for some nachos! Haha I love this area so much!!

Cute pics of this dog :)

Today (Tuesday) we went to Raymond to go fishing! I actually caught something! (a pike) Lol I thought fishing would be boring but it was pretty fun! Haha

Then we got Elder Lee a haircut and went into Lethbridge to do some grocery shopping and to find me a hoodie! I found one! haha

Full Fridge :)
And now its almost 5pm and I'm just barely writing you guys, but better late than never right? Well Mothers Day is just around the corner! And we get to Skype! that should be so much fun! Until then guys, I love you and hope you all continue to do great!

ANOTHER BUSY WEEK!!

Oh my gosh guys.. boy has it been a weird and crazy week!

Last Tuesday which was P-Day we went with this older guy Jack and the Raymond Elders into Lethbridge.. But first Jack had to cut his hair.. Ever heard of a Flowbie? Look it up! Then we just shopped and had a lot of fun! Good times!
P-Day

Got his new glasses :)

On Wednesday we read to the older people, then we had dinner in Welling and also a lesson with some missionary parents! Then we drove back into town for a meeting with the Stake Presidency.. Nothing bad but we got a lot of direction about what to be doing here!

Thursday we fixed up some bikes that have been at our old apartment and we have been riding around! I actually really like being that stereotypical missionary on a bike! And since it's actually been spring around here I enjoy doing things outside now!

Friday we had our usual bingo, bowling, and pool. Followed by weekly planning and the last high priest social dinner where the older people danced to some hype music! For being 80, most of them can dance so good! Lol

Saturday we went around and tried to set up appointments for our week, but it was just not our day! We even called people but no one would pick up! Oh and then it was so windy here that the entire towns electricity went out.. Which meant that when we went to dinner they pretty much just had sandwiches for us. But I was talking with the older guy about what I think I want to do for a career, he went down to his basement and brought up a Delta license plate! He was such an interesting guy and so cool!

Saturday we went and tried to find people to set up appointments with but it  No one was home.

Sunday was a good day filled with church from 7-4 which includes sacrament meetings, Sunday school classes, and ward councils! So much fun! Then Monday we had a zone training meeting which meant that we had to drive all the way to Cardston.. We literally drove 200km on Monday our dinner apt. they brought us food to our apartment.

Today is zone P-Day so we have to drive all the way back out to Cardston for that.

Thank you sister Michelson for this pic :)

I hope you all have a wonderful week and love you all!

TRANSFER WEEK!

Hello everyone! This week has been really exciting and some new changes.. A new companion!

Tuesday: For our P-Day we drove into Raymond to meet up with the Elders and Sisters that are there. We played a lot of games and such until the Elders had to leave, which meant that we had to leave. After that we went to Mom and Dad's house (The Wolvers) to return their games. They are really awesome people and really take care of us missionaries! Then we had transfer calls.. I knew Elder Walker was leaving but he was my trainer so it was hard to hear him get assigned a different companion! I got Elder Lee though and he seems pretty cool!

Elder Walker

Wednesday: It was bye bye day/packing for Elder Walker so we went around and he said bye to all the families that he had come to love. We went to Mom and Dads and they loaded him up with his famous chocolate chip cookies! It's gonna be hard to leave this area when my time comes.. So many great people here who love the missionaries and we love them too!

Thursday: Transfer day! We went up to Lethbridge at 12 so we could get our new companions. My companion Elder Lee served up in the north of Calgary so I had to wait for him and then Elder Walker was going up to the North of the Mission so that's pretty exciting! Elder Lee is super awesome and he's from Thatcher Arizona! He's always cold so we fit together! Except it's been like 9° and I'm shedding my coat.. I'm becoming Canadian! For the rest of the day we just got the new elder settled in! Also had dinner at Mom and Dad's so they could meet the new elder.

Elder Lee from Thatcher Arizona :)

Friday: Played the usual bingo and bowling and pool at the Senior home in Magrath! Then we went to Sister Bartons for sign language class, and I really enjoyed it! I didn't really catch on before but now that I don't have the stress of training, I can actually learn things! Then we had dinner at the Bartons. Also went to our 9 year old investigators house to get a baptismal date and we are shooting for the end of the month! Woo Woo!!

Saturday: we went to a baptism for a 8 year old girl who we did the lessons with and it was super good! You could feel the spirit so strong. Then for the rest of the day we went around and set up appointments for this next week! We can get so much done on Saturdays because everyone's home! Plus it was 17° Celsius which is the warmest it's been since I got to Canada and my body loved it!

Sunday: we decided that we were going to go to Spring Coulee for church because I hadn't been out there. It was on of the smallest chapels I have ever seen! Then we went to Winona Bartons homecoming after party at her house and it was good as always! Then we went back to more church in Magrath and then had dinner in Spring Coulee. After that we went to mission prep, there were 17 people there! This area is so awesome when it comes to missionary work!

Monday: We had DTM in Raymond per usual and then headed into Lethbridge because we got a nasty rock chip in our window that was aiming straight for my forehead!! Then we came back and watched technology training videos and then had a lesson with some members and dinner with one of our ward mission leaders! All in all it was a pretty good day (minus the snow in the morning).

Anyway that was my week! I hope your guy's week has been as awesome! Love you all and hope you all are doing great!

Love,

Elder Seanzee
