April 10, 2018

Hi Mom, Family and Friends :)

So my update for the week...Transfers are coming soon and I will be staying and Elder Walker will be heading out.

Tuesday: It was our P-Day so we decided that we wanted to go to the temple! So we got Brother Barton to take us to the Cardston Temple and it was so cool!! Did you know that it is one of the few temples that don't have the angel Moroni on the spire? The locals call it the "Lamanite" temple! But recently it was restored back to what it looked like when it was first built and wow is it pretty! Now I can't wait until I can go to the Calgary temple!

After the temple we emailed for the day and then it was time for dinner.. Well we didn't have an appointment so we went to Winks here in town and got some food. I got two containers of Mac and cheese and elder Walker got some frozen dinner thing and we took it back to the church and made them! We couldn't get anything lined up for the night so it was kinda a relax night to get ready for our week

Wednesday: So we woke up and got ready for the day and had to be in Lethbridge at 9:45 for my eye appointment. All went good my prescription  changed a  bit so looks like I'm getting new glasses! Yay! After having lunch we went to the church to watch a bunch of training on how to use our area book app. It's pretty cool!! Then we went to the Bartons for dinner because her daughter just came home from her mission in Argentina! The food was great as always!

Then we went to a meeting with our 1st ward mission leader and went over their ward mission plan which is so cool to see that this area is trying to push missionary work! Then we went and killed a chicken..yikes  It had no feet so it was in pain!

Thursday: well.. So pretty much what happened was it was weekly planning day and it took a little longer than we planned! With being a technology mission we have a new planning session that we have to do, and it takes a lot longer to do than the old one but it is super good and in depth!

Friday: honestly it was a finding day! We currently have no investigators now, so we are trying so hard to find someone! We have a couple solid potentials that want us back, but we have tried stopping by but not home.

Saturday: finding, finding, finding!! That's what we do! Also we started our last week of training material, which pretty much means that I get to watch all episodes of "The District" which is informative. Just ask Jordan and Christopher, I'm sure they did it too!

Sunday: Church from 9 to 4!  A very long day!  But we had dinner at the Robert's in Spring Coulee so that made it better! They are good people!

Monday: We had District Training Meeting in Raymond! Oh and it was a glorious 9° Celsius and it was amazing! That's only 48° farenheight but when it's constantly been snowing and in the negatives, any thing above zero is heaven! After DTM we drove into Lethbridge to go to Nissan because our windshield wipers decided not to work! I honestly don't like our Rouge that we have.. Worst car ever! But after getting that fixed, we came home and worked on our area book to transfer it to online.. We ended our night with watching The District on the church TV and then we got up to use the washroom and today is when President would call if he wants you to be zone leader or AP or something and I keep telling elder Walker that he is gonna be zone leader.. Well sure enough we got a call from President and Elder Walker is gonna be a zone leader!! Haha!

Hope you all had an amazing week and that you have a phenomenal week this week! Love you all!
Love,

Elder Seanzee

ANOTHER SNOWY WEEK IN CANADA!

Hey y'all!!

How was everyone's week? Well however bad it may have been, just know that we got even more snow here in Canada! Yay us!! Haha so just a little about my week:

Tuesday: After emailing, Elder Walker and I traveled to Raymond to play some games with the elders and sisters there because it is Elder W's last free P-Day here in our district as he is expecting to be transferred out of Magrath because he just trained me. So that pretty much leaves me in Magrath with an entire stake and a new companion.. Yeah it's gonna be chaos for a little while here! lol But anyway, after we played a couple games we returned to our apartment where I started to clean because I just got in one of those moods. Then we had dinner at a members house which consisted of sweet potato mashed soup.. Then we went to Raymond for exchanges so I was in Raymond from Tuesday night until Wednesday night.

Wednesday:  We spent our morning playing bingo with the older people in the home, then we spent the rest of our day moving two people into new homes.. Both while it was snowing.. If you haven't caught on yet, I really don't like the snow! So Elder W came at night and picked me up and took me back to Magrath.. I was so sore I had to take a bath! Ugh!

Thursday: honestly it was a pretty uneventful day.. It's our weekly planning day so we just made a lot of plans and really tried to talk to a lot of our potential investigators and such. But it's so hard because everyone has southern Alberta directions.. Like I'm looking for the Gorham family.. Well their address is "if the Stringhams are on the corner, then the Grahams are 3 down from the convince store on the left not the right side" ?? It's near impossible to find anyone here!! lol

Friday: we did our usual bingo with the older people in the Good Samaritan society home. Then we went to the Diamond Willow Lodge where we played bowling and pool with the seniors there. Honestly I love Fridays because pool is so much fun playing against Tom (who's like 90)!

Saturday: General Conference!! Did you watch it? If not, you missed out! Wow it's just a way different experience watching it on a mission rather than at home. Because I'm thinking "how can these messages help my investigators?" so it keeps me a little more alert. We spent the day at the Bartons watching it.

Sunday: We drove out to the Spring Coulee chapel parking lot where Jerom Bennett picked us up and took us to his parents home where we watched the morning session and had a turkey feast for lunch! (he picked us up because they live out there and don't really have an address..) after lunch we went back to Magrath to watch the last session of conference with the Bartons again.(how about them changes to home teaching, eh?) After conference they had us for dinner and then we played the game of life. Thus ended our very long Sunday!

Monday: During Sunday and overnight, we were "blessed" with another three inches or so of snow! We had to go to District Training Meeting in the morning and the snow plows still hadn't been out at all! Let's just say it was a very scary 15km to Raymond! And by the way, our Nissan Rouge doesn''t do well in snow! We've gotten it stuck so many times it's rediculous! After DTM we went to Subway (as usual) because we get free food there! .. We ended our day with a lesson to a 8 year old boy who recently got baptized! And we followed up on a potential who asked us to come back another day so we showed up and they asked us to come back because they were all going to bed! Everyone here goes to bed at like 9 it's crazy!

We were able to attend the Cardston Temple and it was awesome! I did some of our family names :)

Here is my scripture of the week for you.

Alma 26:12
"Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever."

Hope everyone is doing ok.  Tell all family and friends hi and thank you for all the emails :)

Love you all, Elder Seanzee
