Hello Mom, Family and Friends!!
Wow so on the 10th it was my official 1 month in Canada! It has literally gone by so fast, I don't know if it has gone fast for you guys.. but wow that went by fast! Last Tuesday when I wrote, I told you that I was going to get a Alberta drivers license.. well someone at the visa office in the airport messed up my visa so it says that I am here in Canada for 730 days for personal visit.. its supposed to say that I am here for church proselyting.. so its not enough reason to get me a license yet. The mission office is gonna work on getting my visa changed but I can still drive. So its not really a big deal. I have to give up my Utah license though.. so I almost don't want to give it up!
This week has been productive I think.. we've been doing a lot of visiting less actives and inactives as well as working on referrals and such. We taught the last lesson to Dillon our 9 year old. So all we need now is a set date and then he will be baptized. Tonight we are starting the lessons with a 8 year old who is getting baptized in March, so that's something to do! I know there's work to do here in Magrath, its just finding it! Its enough to keep us busy though.
We had interviews this past Friday with President and they went really good! It was a good uplifting encouraging interview that I really needed! President and Sister Miles are just so awesome! It will be sad to see them leave in July! At least they only live in Sandy!
On Tuesday I finally got a heated blanket! I sleep so good now! Its so nice and warm.. Its so cold outside it doesn't matter what kind of house you have , the cold seeps through. Also I forgot to mention, but Ralph gave me a book for Christmas which is such a good book! Its by Elder Uchtdorf, and its a compilation of all his piloting stories and how they relate to the gospel. I encourage you guys to get it! Its called "The Gospel at 30,000 Feet"!
Elder Walkers mom sent us these cool socks for Valentines Day, I love them!
I got a letter in the mail from April Norton and Serity Rodgers (my sunday school teachers) and it really took me by surprise to get something from them.. they sent me letters as well as everyone in my class which was super cool! A lot of encouragement which was well needed! The card was really cool though!
The mission office called to ask if they could open my package you sent because they wanted to see if it had my phone in it, but they never called back so I assume you didn't send it in that package. They are going to be handing them out at our next zone conference.
Anyway I always love hearing from everyone about whats going on at home! You should be getting a little something in the mail here soon.. Lol you'll love it! (what he sent is pictured below) Wish everyone my best! Hope you and grandma are still continuing to do good!
Tell Steve I said hi.
Much Love,
Elder Seanzee
