February 13th, 2018

Hello Mom, Family and Friends!!

Wow so on the 10th it was my official 1 month in Canada! It has literally gone by so fast, I don't know if it has gone fast for you guys.. but wow that went by fast! Last Tuesday when I wrote, I told you that I was going to get a Alberta drivers license.. well someone at the visa office in the airport messed up my visa so it says that I am here in Canada for 730 days for personal visit.. its supposed to say that I am here for church proselyting.. so its not enough reason to get me a license yet. The mission office is gonna work on getting my visa changed but I can still drive. So its not really a big deal. I have to give up my Utah license though.. so I almost don't want to give it up!

This week has been productive I think.. we've been doing a lot of visiting less actives and inactives as well as working on referrals and such. We taught the last lesson to Dillon our 9 year old. So all we need now is a set date and then he will be baptized. Tonight we are starting the lessons with a 8 year old who is getting baptized in March, so that's something to do! I know there's work to do here in Magrath, its just finding it! Its enough to keep us busy though.

We had interviews this past Friday with President and they went really good! It was a good uplifting encouraging interview that I really needed! President and Sister Miles are just so awesome! It will be sad to see them leave in July! At least they only live in Sandy!

On Tuesday I finally got a heated blanket! I sleep so good now!  Its so nice and warm.. Its so cold outside it doesn't matter what kind of house you have , the cold seeps through. Also I forgot to mention, but Ralph gave me a book for Christmas which is such a  good book! Its by Elder Uchtdorf, and its a compilation of all his piloting stories and how they relate to the gospel. I encourage you guys to get it! Its called "The Gospel at 30,000 Feet"!

Elder Walkers mom sent us these cool socks for Valentines Day, I love them!

I got a letter in the mail from April Norton and Serity Rodgers (my sunday school teachers) and it really took me by surprise to get something from them.. they sent me letters as well as everyone in my class which was super cool! A lot of encouragement which was well needed! The card was really cool though!

The mission office called to ask if they could open my package you sent because they wanted to see if it had my phone in it, but they never called back so I assume you didn't send it in that package.  They are going to be handing them out at our next zone conference.

Anyway I always love hearing from everyone about whats going on at home! You should be getting a little something in the mail here soon.. Lol you'll love it! (what he sent is pictured below) Wish everyone my best! Hope you and grandma are still continuing to do good!

Tell Steve I said hi.

Much Love,

Elder Seanzee

FEBRUARY 6TH, 2018

Hello Mom, Family and Friends!

First off.. HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!! Haha!! Yeah you're right though.. stuffed peppers aren't my thing!  Mom, physical therapy does not sound fun at all.. but its good to hear that you can straighten your leg now . That's good at least! Good to hear that Grandma is doing well, I'm glad that she has pulled out of that as fast as she did.. that's really amazing! That pic of your poutine.. no.. that is not real poutine.. lol real poutine has normal fries, not those crinkle cut things! Haha!

This was good but can't wait to try in Canada :)
So the baptism for Saturday didn't happen.. the 9 year old boy is only here with his dad every other week, so we have to wait until next week to have our last lesson then the baptismal interview.. so it is now set for February 17th! We will see if that happens then, but it will happen eventually!  But yeah, we had quite the feast! The leftovers only lasted a day though which was kinda sad because it was so good!

Today is our once a month that we get to go into Lethbridge to the Wal-Mart and get our monthly shopping done!  I am going to look for a heated mattress pad today.  It gets cold at night! Lol

My scriptures look super good though! I'll attach pictures, but I also got a Book of Mormon study help book that is super helpful! Also got a Calgary temple tie bar!

Regarding the weather.. I'm kinda starting to get use to the weather here but its still so cold here!!! The wind chill is what really gets me though.. like you said its like -4F but the wind chill makes it -20F!! Geez and I'm in southern Alberta! It's supposed to be warmer!

I can literally see Montana from here in Magrath!  We both love it here though, Magrath is like a mini Utah, the people here are so nice and willing to help.  Haha the people here have had too many missionaries to pay attention to how they eat. They all tell us that! But they offer peanut butter sandwiches with our meal if we don't see anything we like, which is nice but a lot of people here cook really good food so don't worry about me! I've actually gained 2 pounds while here! Lol!

I don't think I need anything else in my package..  The next time we get mail is when we go up to Calgary on the 16th for re-trainers so if it gets there by then, I should have it pretty soon! Or I'll have to wait until after my birthday.. so it might be a good idea if you are sending any birthday stuff to send it in this package! They only give us our mail like once a month!

Nothing has really happened since last time I wrote.. we had a lesson with one of our other investigators, so that's one step closer right? The only day of the week that seems really long is Sunday! Haha from 7 in the morning to 4 at night its ward council meetings, sacraments, teaching Sunday school classes.. wow its a lot! It makes for a very long day! But in the end it's good, ward councils provide us a lot of info to go off of!

Send my love to Grandma Pat and Grandpa Arlen as well as Grandpa Gerald and Grandma Penny! Oh and Grandma Athalee and Arlene! And if dad talks to Grandpa and Grandma Snyder, tell them I'm thinking about them and hope they are still doing well! Hope all is well with everyone! And a big hello to the ward members :)

Love,
Elder Snyder

January 30th, 2018

Hey Mom and Family!

This past week has been pretty good! Last time I wrote you guys I was going to zone p-day and then going on splits with my district leader in Raymond. It was pretty fun and I learned a lot from him! Other than that, this week has been filled with teaching our three investigators and one of them getting baptized! It was pretty cool because the room was really packed so it was great to see the support from the ward! We have a nine year old that we need to teach him the last lesson tonight then he's ready for his interview and baptism on Saturday!

Last Tuesday I went over to the distribution center and got some new scriptures because I realized that in mine almost all of 2nd Nephi was completely missing.. so I thought it was time! Haha  Other than that, today we are going to Raymond to hang out with the sisters and play board games with the youth.

Here are some more pics of our soap making with the Roberts, it was fun :)

Last week we had a dinner cancel on us, so we had to go to the one grocery store in town called Roosters! Lol geez thats an experience! Everything is way overpriced because its either you buy it here or you drive to Lethbridge or Cardston! So yeah we bought pancakes and bacon and sausages and a bunch of other crap that we really didn't need! And we cooked it and it looked like a feast for at least a family of 4! But it was really good!

Anyway hope all is going well with you guys, hope your knee is doing better and hope grandma is doing better also.. any updates on that?

Here is a picture I know Lex will love.

Love you guys!

2nd WEEK IN CANDA

Jan 23, 2018

Hello all!!

It literally feels like I just got here and its already been 2 weeks! But I passed my ! month mark!!!! I'm glad that you got a kick out of the video of the deer! There's literally so many deer here its so funny! It's kinda funny that you have more snow than us now! Geez my car looks so small under all that snow!

It's so cold here and it hasn't really warmed up above 3 Celsius. I manage to stay pretty warm with a lot of layers... haha.

After I write you I'll be on my way to the Zone P-day activity and then I'm going on splits with Elder Buttars in Raymond. I just don't have a lot of time to write to everyone but please tell them to read the blog :). I didn't get anything from Grandma and Grandpa Peterson so I think they might have gotten my address wrong..  I miss my car soooooooo much!!! I haven't even driven a car for over a month!! I'm having withdrawals! LOL

We have 2 baptisms lined up, one on Sunday and the other sometime next month! The people here are so nice and always want to send pictures to you guys! I don't know if you saw

Anyway hope you all are doing amazing! Canada is treating me well, they feed me every night and getting to meet a lot of nice people.

Love you guys!
Elder Snyder
