I'M IN CANADA!!



Hello Mom and Family and Everyone!!

Wow it has been such a crazy week since I talked to you last! Geez! So when I talked to you last, I had ran into Christopher in the airport! It was so crazy seeing him! What an awesome surprise before I left for Canada!

Well I made it to Canada without any issues, but the Canadian customs forms were super confusing and they asked me a ton of questions because I put that I am living there for about 730 days for personal business.. but it was all good! Got here safe and sound and my luggage came here safe (take note Southwest). I lost my breath walking out of the airport!! It was -26 C when I arrived! Holy Cow!!!!

President and Sister MIles are super awesome people! I had a little interview with President when we first got to his house so I got to know him a little better, so he's from Sandy and going home in July which is kinda sad, but his wife is so nice! They made a home made meal for all 9 of us missionaries which was so good!

So I guess you have gotten pictures of my companion and I!  Elder Walker is so awesome! His first name is Sean also! But it only gets better.. we are super alike! Like we both play cello and have the same personalities! Which really helps when you have to get along to share the gospel!! We are in a small town in Southern Alberta near the border called Magrath, it has like 2,500 people and most are members so its a lot of re activation and member missionary work which is fun! I'm happy we have a car though, it's way too cold to be walking!

I talked to Jordan a bit, I remember when he left, and I was a wreck for a while.. but I'm glad he's doing better.

I'm so excited about the baby! Christopher told me that he would be sending me some more pics and stuff of the baby! I got my sheets and everything when I got here, along with some food for breakfast and lunch, we get fed by members every night so we don't have to worry about food here! So you heard from Momma Yo and the Cookie Man first, that was like my first night in this area! Everyone here is so nice and they always want to send pictures to you're family! Then the Roberts the other night sent you a pic of me and my companion after dinner at their house! Elder Walker milked their goat, and we are going back today to make goat milk soap :)

We have a whole house we live in and it is super sketchy! It makes a lot of weird noises and it creaks so much! Its a super old house that has been redone 3 too many times! HAHA!!!

Anyway I've got a lot to do on my first P-day so I'll let you go, but love you guys and hope you all are doing well and continue to do well! Talk to you all soon!

January 6, 2018 Last P day in MTC

Hello Everyone!

This email might be a little short, but Elder Darrington has been really sick since last Saturday, so he was confined to his bed until Thursday.. that meant that Elder Tatton and I couldn't leave our room or go to class! So sorry in advance if I don't have much to say this week! Hows the knee doing mom? And hows grandma? Any updates???

I'm excited to finally be leaving the MTC though!! Whatever people say, the food here really isn't good. Elder Walker who left to the SLC West Mission on Tuesday (the mission that has our stake in it) shared a scripture about the food here.. its Jeremiah 4:19..I highly encourage you to look it up! Its pretty funny!!! So like I said though I leave here on Wednesday at 6:50 am and my flight leaves at 11. Have you or dad gotten an email from my mission? 

We went to the temple today which was really cool! I did sealings for the first time which was fun!  We were able to be greeters to the new missionaries this week and that was really fun, we all can relate to how they are all feeling ;) So I guess that the next time I'll email is on our next p-day in Canada whenever that is!

Hey Family and Friends!

Mom, I'm glad to hear that surgery went well! It looks like a lot of fun.. not really actually. I liked seeing all of the pictures from Christmas and Christmas Eve.

So on Christmas Eve we had Elder Anderson of the Twelve come and speak, and it was so good! When he entered the room it was like the most awesome feeling! He talked a lot about family and the true meaning of Christmas, which was really nice to hear! I tried to stay awake but I've come to find out that the Spirit is really physically draining! lol

But I was really looking forward to the Christmas night program because I had heard that David Archuletta was coming! Well sure enough, we lined up to go in the building and he pulls up and gets out of his car! He waved at us and everything which I thought was cool. I love him so much! It was so awesome to hear why he chose to serve a mission rather than continue on his music career, it was really inspiring.

This week has been pretty hard for me because they've been teaching so much info about how to teach and stuff. And then they want us to teach "Investigators" when none of us have a clue what we're doing! (or at least that's how we feel)  But one of my TRC investigators his name is Kaiona, we had a really great discussion about the plan of salvation, and he asked so many questions that I didn't think I had answers to, but the words just came out! I don't really know what I said, but he said he really wants to talk again because it was so good! Teaching by the spirit is awesome!

I got my travel itinerary, so I leave here on the 10th! My flight is at like 11 am, so we have to leave the MTC at like 6. Also I loved the package you sent me! I'll attach the pictures but my animals are wearing the name tags! Lol other than that, I'm just eager to leave the MTC Haha!  I've got some pictures I'll be sending throughout the day, I didn't get them all on my device I have to remind the other elders to email them to me! But I really love this district, they are a lot of fun and they invite a really strong spirit into our classroom discussions!
